Firefox 1.5.0.3 has been released, it took them less than a week once the bug was found to release a patch! That should teach Microsoft a thing or two about customer service.
The news page seems to be a bit long, so after my GCSEs I'll have a go at archiving it. |

| Firefox news has been coming in slow lately, so for all the people wanting to know a lil more about Songbird here's an interview. |
| |
| 19th February 2006 |
I have been told by a friend that I am a little too anti Microsoft. If that annoys you then I apologise.
The reason I dislike them is because they threatened to sue www.tweakguides.com for using there name in a free guide to tweak windows. Personally I think they misused there power (money) as the guide was free and was doing nothing to hamper there reputation.
From now on I will try to keep those opinions toned down, he he. |

| 9th February 2006 |
Here is a little information about a program called Songbird.
A new music playing program, based on firefox's browser engine has been released. It is a "Proof-of-Concept" build however and should be handled as such. The program has the ergonomics of iTunes but doesn't have any links to a specific company (e.g. iTunes music store) and above all things, it can take plugins!
And here's a list of features.

| 1st February 2006 |
I'm sorry I couldn't wish you all a happy christmas but sadly I couldn't because I was on a cruse.
Let us use this moment to feel sorry for me..... he he
Now on to happier news! Firefox 1.5 has had it's first automatic update today as many of you may now have realised. For those not using firefox, it was quick and painless. Unlike the I.E. updates that take more than a month for Microsoft to complete.
Two new browsers have been released to the public.
The first is an internet suite by the creators of Firefox. They call it Seamonkey 1.0.
The second is a long awaited update for Microsoft's only browser. I don't recommend you install it if you rely on I.E., but if you want to compare then say hello to Internet Explorer 7.0. |

| 13th September 2005 |
| Big news! (to me anyway) Firefox Tutorials comes up first in the MSN UK search engine when you put in, that's right, "Firefox Tutorials"! |
| |

| 31st August 2005 |
| Microsoft fears that they will face legal action from all of the "vulnerabilities" in Internet Explorer, it also appears that they are stopping Firefox users from viewing parts of certain pages at microsoft.com. This is further proof that Firefox is and hopefully always will be safer then Internet Explorer.
I know I said I wasn't going to change the "Why Choose Firefox" page but I'm going to try out a few methods of splitting it up because it's way too big. |
| |
| 27th August 2005 |
| I've made a couple more changes to the "Why Choose Firefox" page. (again)
I have also answered a question about profiles in "Troubleshooting" |
| |
| 24th August 2005 |
| I've made a couple more changes to the "Why Choose Firefox" page. I don't think I'll need to update it for a while now. |
| |
| 21st August 2005 |
| A guy called Sebastian has helped me add a hell of a lot of content to the "Why Choose Firefox?" page and helped make some of my descriptions more accurate. |
| |
| 20th August 2005 |
| I've changed the design of the site and now it looks a lot better.
I have added links in "Why Choose Firefox?" to other sites arguing that, Firefox is a better browser than Internet Explorer
I've split the "F.A.Q." page in two. Now there is a "Troubleshooting" page as well. To fit it all in I had to change the font, but quite frankly I think it looks
better.
On looking at the menu again I thought it was a bit hard to spot were one link ended and another began so I added transparent white lines in between them.
I've just realised that all my email was being deleted instead of moved. So if you sent me something please send it again. (It was something to do with the junk email blocker) |
| |
| 19th August 2005 |
| It is the first day on the web, but in the future the news page will hold information about the site, and Firefox updates.
Ok, so far so good. I'm going to change to the menu, as it looks bad.
I have changed "Speed up Firefox" to "Tools and Guides" that way it will be able to grow into a much larger part of the site.
I have done some editing to the text mainly to do with spelling and grammar.
My thanks go to the people on this thread that helped me out.
