Troubleshooting Firefox
Q.
I want to switch to Firefox, but I don't want to lose my bookmarks. Is there a way of importing them into Firefox?
A.
Yes and it's incredibly easy. Just go to"File" and then "Import". You will be shown a wizard that will import all your bookmarks into Firefox for you.
Q.
It says that I need to make a new profile when I upgrade to a new version of Firefox, how can I backup my bookmarks, passwords, extensions and themes?
A.
The easiest way to backup your bookmarks and passwords is to copy over the files shown on this web page. For your extensions and themes, all I can suggest is you make a new folder in your bookmarks and put bookmarks linking to all the homepages of your extensions and themes. If I were you I'd also name the bookmarks so they represent the extension or theme you can fined on that page.
Q.
How do you switch between profiles?
A.
Windows: Select "start" then click "Run" in the start menu, type "firefox.exe -profilemanager" and press "OK"
Any: Right-click the Firefox shortcut on your desktop and after /firefox put -profilemanager so it reads like this: ".../firefox -profilemanager"
